Good or adequate results were recorded in most areas tested however some marginal areas were recorded on the upper bonnet / windscreen and there were areas of poor protection on the bonnet leading edge. The Q5 is fitted with an AEB system capable of pedestrian detection. In tests of this functionality, the system performed well with impact being avoided in most test scenarios.
