The Transport Accident Commission ("TAC") does not verify the accuracy of any third party information provided on this web site. That information is provided "as is" and, subject to any terms implied by law that cannot be excluded, TAC accepts no responsibility for it. Any queries or concerns about third party information provided on this web site must be directed to the relevant third party, as identified above.

(a) Public Collision Test Data and Used Car Safety Ratings:

  • can only be used as a basis for determining the relative safety of a vehicle;
  • may be based on only certain types of collision tests; and
  • should not be used to compare vehicles of different mass or vehicle type.

(b) it is not possible to guarantee the safety of any particular vehicle;

(c) by providing information on this web site, TAC is neither endorsing nor discrediting the vehicles of any particular manufacturer;

(d) the prices quoted for vehicles normally exclude government and statutory charges;

(e) use of Polk Vehicle Information is subject to further terms and conditions

4. Prohibited Use

4.1 Users must not, at any time:

(a) adapt, translate, reverse engineer, dissemble or decompile the web site or any part of the web site;

Public Collision Test Data, Used Car Safety Ratings, Polk Vehicle Information and vehicle descriptions relate to Australian vehicles only and may not be applicable to vehicles with the same or similar descriptions or names in other jurisdictions.

Copyright in the material in this web site is owned by, or licensed to, the TAC. Users may download information from this web site and print out that information, but only for their own private, non-commercial use. The content, operation and interpretation of this web site and these Terms of Use will be governed by the laws of the State of Victoria. The User agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Victoria in the event of a dispute arising out of, or in connection with, this web site.
